“I wonder if this dish suits your taste, Lux-kun?”
“Yes! It’s very delicious!”
“I see, I’m glad to hear that.”
When I said that, Felisiana-sama slightly raised the corner of her mouth and replied.
The dish used very high-quality meat, grilled to perfection, and with each bite, the flavor seemed to fill my entire mouth.
On top of that, if I wanted to refresh my palate, there was a warm, light soup, letting me enjoy the meat and soup alternately.
And with this view, and knowing that Felisiana-sama was eating the same delicious food with me, I found the meal even more enjoyable.
We continued savoring the dish… Eventually, the plates were emptied, and even the cups of soup were gone.
“That was very delicious!”
“Yes… Watching you eat so happily, Lux-kun, made me enjoy it more than usual.”
“Ah! Me too! Just knowing that I was eating together with you, Felisiana-sama, made it taste even better!”
“If you say that, Lux-kun, then nothing could make me happier.”
After chatting a little longer about the meal, we enjoyed the rest of our tea while continuing our conversation.
We talked about favorite foods, following on from the meal, as well as hobbies.
Then, with a cheerful expression, Felisiana-sama suddenly said,
“I really love spending time like this, chatting idly with you, Lux-kun.”
“Me too, I really enjoy talking like this with you, Felisiana-sama!”
“And also… Yes, come to think of it, there’s something I haven’t properly told you yet, so let me say it clearly now.”

As I wondered what she meant, a breeze blew past us for a moment, making our hair sway, and in that instant, Felisiana-sama looked straight into my eyes and said,
“…I love you, Lux-kun.”
“Wha…!?”
Hearing those sudden words, my face instantly grew hot.
Then Felisiana-sama continued,
“I think it was already clear when we spoke about our engagement, but since I hadn’t put it into words and told you directly that I love you, I’ve always wanted to make sure I said it.”
“I-I see… so that’s how it was…”
While I was still reeling from the sudden shock, Felisiana-sama looked at me and said,
“Lux-kun, the fact that I love you should be obvious, so if you blush this much over something like this, it might become troublesome later, you know?”
“S-sorry!”
When I apologized, Felisiana-sama’s expression softened. Placing her right hand against my face, she spoke in a gentle tone.
“Lux-kun… Since we’re here, let me also tell you this. I love you more closely than anyone else… When you’re studying, when you’re training with the sword in the garden, I love you more closely than anyone else… Please don’t forget that.”

When I answered, Felisiana-sama, still smiling kindly, lifted her hand from my face and said,
“It looks like we’ve both finished our tea, so perhaps it’s time we left here and went to see the flowers displayed in front of the shop, the ones you said were beautiful.”
“Understood! Let’s go!”
After that, the two of us left the shop together and walked through the town to see the beautiful flowers in front of another shop.
And then…
“Please look! These are the flowers!”
“Indeed, they’re bright and beautiful.”
“Yes, exactly!”
Once we reached our destination, we immediately began admiring the flowers there.
After a little time passed…
“…Lux-sama?”
“…Eh?”
Hearing someone call my name, I turned in that direction… and there stood Florence-san.
“F-Florence-san!? Wh-why are you here!?”
While I was still surprised, Florence-san smiled happily and said,
“Hehe, to think I’d run into you in a place like this, Lux-sama. Today must be a very fortunate day… I came here to buy flowers. And you, Lux-sama, why are you here?”
“Ah, I…”
“Lux-kun and I came here to admire these beautiful flowers.”
Just as I was about to answer, Felisiana-sama stepped between me and Florence-san and declared that to her.
