Sleepover

“Master! I’ve brought your luggage!”
“Thank you, Siana.”
…On the way home from school after classes.
Today was the day of the sleepover with Florence-san. When we discussed where it would be held, Florence-san said she wanted to repay me for the previous victory celebration, so it was decided to have the sleepover at her mansion… and so.
“Siana, are you ready?”
“I am fully prepared!”
Not only I, but Siana was also going to join the sleepover.
That was because Siana said she wanted to be with me, and also because she wanted to talk with Florence-san again after so long. When I told Florence-san that and asked, she readily agreed.
“The sleepover… I’m looking forward to it, Siana.”
“Yes! I’m really looking forward to it!”
Smiling as she said that, Siana and I carried our luggage onto the carriage and set out for the Duke Florence residence.
Then, after a short while, Siana asked.
“…Master, as far as I know, you have never stayed overnight at another noble’s mansion before. Why did you decide to do so this time?”
Florence-san had said, “When I think about the future, about being joined with you, Lux-sama, I thought it would be good if I could spend a whole day with you even now.” But before consulting anyone else about matters of engagement, I want to first reach an answer on my own, so I still cannot tell Siana.
“Florence-san and I are close enough that we are always together even at the noble academy. I thought a sleepover with her would be really fun.”
Though I left out the matter of the engagement, I told her the truth about everything else. After a brief pause, Siana replied.
“I see… Then, if someone other than Florence-sama had invited you to something like this, would you have accepted their invitation, Master?”
“Other than Florence-san…”
The scope of “other than Florence-san” was too broad, and as I was wondering how to answer, Siana, watching me, spoke again.
“For example, if the Third Princess Felisiana-sama had invited you to a sleepover like this, what would you have done, Master?”
“F-Felisiana-sama!?”
Hearing the name of Felisiana-sama, from whom I had received a proposal, together with the word “sleepover,” startled me a little. But after thinking carefully, I answered.
“If it were a sleepover with Felisiana-sama, I think I would be very nervous… but it would also be a chance to get to know her better. So, though I’d be nervous, I think I would have stayed over.”
“…! I see!!”
Siana’s cheeks flushed with joy, and she exclaimed that loudly.
After that, riding in the carriage with Siana, who for some reason seemed delighted, we arrived in front of the Duke Florence mansion and stepped out.
Then…
“I have been expecting you, Lux-sama, Siana-san.”
There stood Florence-san, waiting to welcome us.
“Florence-san! Thank you for coming out to greet us!”
“Not at all, it is nothing so grand, please think nothing of it… That aside, Lux-sama, and you as well, Siana-san, I look forward to spending today together.”
“Yes! I look forward to it too!”
“…I look forward to it.”
Then, guided by Florence-san, Siana and I entered the Duke Florence mansion.
Being with both Siana and Florence-san was enjoyable for me, and the two of them also got along well.
The thought that a sleepover with the two of them was about to begin filled me with excitement.
