“R-Remina-san!? What are you doing at this mansion!?”
I had never imagined Remina-san would come to see me today, so when I raised my voice in surprise, she responded.
“We confirmed it back when we met in the Katiswear Empire, did we not? That I might visit you someday, and that day happens to be today.”
I certainly remembered that conversation, but even so, it was so sudden that I could not help being surprised.
Still, since it felt rude to stay shocked after she came all this way, I forced myself to calm down once and spoke.
“If that is the case, I am very happy! I do not have anything in particular to do today, so please, let us spend time together!”
“Yes, let us do that… You are a man who still shows a very good smile.”
Remina-san murmured something softly at the end.
“Did you say something?”
“It is nothing. Now that it is decided, let us head to the town together.”
“Yes!”
After nodding energetically, I got into the carriage with Remina-san, and we immediately set off toward the town.
Then Remina-san opened her mouth and spoke.
“Speaking of which, I witnessed with my own eyes the sword tournament you participated in.”
“Eh!? R-really!?”
“Yes, it was splendid swordsmanship… have you continued your training since then?”
“Yes! I have been doing my usual training, of course, but actually…”
Rezamiliana-sama had taught me a way to improve my sword skills even further.
I was about to say that, but since I was not sure whether it was alright to mention Rezamiliana-sama’s name on my own, I stopped and spoke again.
“Actually, someone taught me about the sword, and lately I have been training while keeping that in mind.”
“I see. And what exactly did that person teach you?”
Rezamiliana-sama had taught me many things based on every match I had in the sword tournament, so when I was asked now to express all of it in one word, it was difficult.

“They taught me many detailed things, but what left the strongest impression on me was… that I had been unconsciously afraid of cutting down my opponent with my sword, and because of that I was putting too much strength into it and creating openings I did not need to make.”

“Now that I think back on it, there were many parts I could understand, so lately I have been trying not to tense up too much.”
When I said that, Remina-san paused for a moment before speaking.
“If what you learned from that person contributed to your growth, then I am glad… by the way, how did that person appear in your eyes?”
How Rezamiliana-sama appeared in my eyes…?
There was no way I could evaluate everything about Rezamiliana-sama, but if I were to express exactly how she appeared to me in words, then.
“Her swordsmanship is amazing, beautiful, gentle, dignified, and she is such a wonderful and incredible person!”
“…! Y-you again, saying things like that, unconsciously, to me…”
For a brief moment, it looked as though Remina-san’s cheeks had turned red, and right after that, she turned her face away from me.
“Remina-san…? Is something wrong…?”
“…It is nothing. Do not worry about it.”
“Is that so?”
“Yes, but… speaking face-to-face with you right now… spare me that.”
Remina-san told me that in a small voice.
She wants me to spare her from speaking face-to-face right now…?
I did not really understand, but maybe she wanted to think about something.
Interpreting it that way, I stayed as I was for a short while, and eventually, Remina-san returned to her usual self.
And after that, until the carriage arrived in town, I spent the time chatting happily with the calm and composed Remina-san I knew.
