Violet’s Side
The next morning.
It was the time when Lux was getting ready to leave for the noble academy.
Violet was in Siana’s room when Siana walked in wearing a look of overflowing happiness.
“It seems that sharing a bed with Rodwell-sama turned out very well for you, Ojou-sama.”
When Violet voiced what she had read from Siana’s expression, Siana answered with a bright tone.
“Yes. Being able to sleep beside the adorable Lux-kun made it such a blissful time. If I could, I would love to tell you everything I felt for a few hours, but we need to talk about something serious first.”
From experience, Violet knew that when Siana said “a few hours,” she meant it literally.
Because of that and other reasons, Violet had her own thoughts about Siana’s words, but since Siana said it was time for a serious discussion, Violet shifted her focus. Siana also changed her expression and spoke with a serious tone.
“Today is the royal family meeting, so I will be going to the castle. But because of what happened yesterday, you must keep watch around Lux-kun as you usually do.”
“What happened yesterday” referred to Lux being attacked by an assassin sent by Duke Lage.
“Understood.”
“And if anyone tries to harm Lux-kun…”
Her eyes turned vacant and her voice grew cold.
“You do not need to wait for my judgment. End their life at once.”
“As you command.”
Violet nodded as she always did, and Siana briefly closed her eyes.
When she opened them again, the vacant look had vanished. With bright, sparkling eyes she continued.
“There is still time before Lux-kun needs to leave for the academy, so I will tell you my impressions of sleeping beside him. When he climbed onto the bed and slipped under the covers, he fell asleep like a child, which was already adorable, but even his breathing while he slept was cute. If I had to explain how cute it was, it was so cute that I honestly felt it might be difficult to hold myself back. And his reaction when he woke up this morning was also…”
Slightly exasperated by Siana’s sudden shift in personality, yet finding her joy endearing, Violet replied at the right moments and listened to her happily continue.
Lux’s Side
After sleeping beside Siana last night, waking up this morning and seeing her there made my emotions stir. Even so, I got ready and headed to the noble academy.
“Good morning, Lux-sama.”
“Good morning, Florence-san.”
After exchanging greetings with Florence-san, who sat beside me, I took my seat.
Then Florence spoke.
“It has been a while since the sleepover, hasn’t it?”
“Yes. That sleepover was really fun.”
“I am glad to hear you say that again. After being allowed to sleep beside you that day, Lord Lux, I have felt a little lonely when I sleep alone. That is how often I think back on it.”
“What?”
“Fufu, I am joking.”
The words “sleep beside” made me remember both sleeping next to Siana last night and the time I slept next to Florence during the sleepover. My face grew warm, and Florence gave a small smile as she spoke.
After we chatted for a short while as usual, the teacher entered the lecture hall, and everyone, including us, fell silent.
“Good morning, everyone. Beginning today, to help you deepen your understanding of commerce, which is essential for managing your territories in the future, we will begin a short-term commerce practicum.”
