A Growing Unease
About a week had passed since Yume began going to and from school with Yuuki.
During that time, Saya approached him several times, but because Yume repelled her every single time, Yuuki never suffered any harm.
“Then I’ll see you again on the way home. Have a good day.”
“…Yes. You too, Yume-san.”
“Okay!!”
After parting with Yume, who headed toward the university with the brightest smile possible, Yuuki entered the classroom without any trouble and took his seat.
Until recently, he would have been preparing for a quiz or relaxing a little, but for the past few days, Yuuki had been lost in thought.
He was troubled by whether things were really okay as they were.
Ever since he started going to and from school with Yume, even before that, Kyousuke and Yume had always done so much for him while he hadn’t been able to give anything in return.
He had given them letters and bouquets, but because he felt he had received far more than that, his worries only continued to grow.
The same was true for the lunch he could see in his bag and for all the help he received at his part-time job. Of course, it was the same with Ayaka and Arisa.
This meant he was slowly returning to the way he was before Ayaka broke him, or more accurately, that only with Yume and Kyousuke was he beginning to return, even if only slightly, to his former self.
When he wondered if there was anything he could do.
What kept going through his mind was that maybe it was finally time to settle things with the troublesome Saya, but he didn’t want to get involved. He didn’t even want to see her face. After everything they had done to him, just talking to the girls who had become his trauma caused him a great deal of stress.
If Yume ever found out he was thinking like this, she would almost certainly go and crush Saya, but because Yuuki felt he was relying too much on Yume and Kyousuke, he never said anything.
As he continued to wonder what to do, the teacher eventually arrived, and morning homeroom began.
Before he knew it, the morning classes had ended, and he still hadn’t been able to focus at all.
Yuuki took his lunch out of his bag, stood up, and walked to the usual spot.
That usual spot was the place where he had turned Ayaka down, and ever since that day, it had become his routine to eat there.
As he sat on the bench, eating his lunch while sorting through his worries, he noticed someone walking toward him.
This scene felt strangely familiar, and Yuuki had a bad feeling. He averted his eyes and looked up at the sky as he ate, trying to avoid the situation, but bad feelings tend to come true, and that person spoke to him.
“Yuuki-kun.”
Now then, what should he do?
