Siana and Violet
“V-Violet-san!?”
Lux cried out in surprise, and Siana was just as shocked. Depending on how you looked at it, she might’ve been even more surprised.
I didn’t give any instructions at all, so why is Violet boldly standing here at the Rodwell household…!?
Up until now, whenever Violet had appeared before Lux, she’d always done so with Siana’s prior permission. This time, though, she’d shown up without any warning, and Siana couldn’t help being taken aback.
So that apology yesterday meant this.
As Siana reached that realization, Lux spoke in a bright tone.
“It’s been a while. Are you here by yourself today?”
“Yes. Yesterday, I heard from my lady that you were engaged in a commerce practicum, Rodwell-sama. I thought that on the following day you might be quite tired, so I came here hoping that, if you didn’t mind, I could assist you in various ways.”
“Eh!? F-From Felisiana-sama…!? Um, what did Felisiana-sama say about me when I was doing the commerce practicum?”
As Lux asked that, his expression uneasy, Violet replied in a calm yet gently warm voice.
“She praised you very highly.”
“Really!?”
“Yes.”
“Felisiana-sama did…? I’m happy!”
Lux said that with a smile, his cheeks tinged with red.
“…”
I suppose I can be grateful that my words led to Lux-kun smiling like that.
Thinking that, Siana found herself staring at his smile when Violet turned toward her.
“You’re Siana-sama, correct?”
Siana almost replied with “Yes” in the familiar tone of the Third Princess Felisiana, but she caught herself and answered plainly.
“Yes.”
“I believe this is our first time meeting like this, so I thought I should introduce myself. I am Violet, a maid in service to the Third Princess Felisiana-sama. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
As Felisiana, she’d been together with Violet since childhood, but meeting her as Siana in front of Lux was a first. Even while feeling a strange discomfort at having to exchange a proper nice-to-meet-you at this point, Siana opened her mouth.
“I’m Siana, a maid serving Lux Rodwell-sama of the Count Rodwell household. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Violet-sama.”
Siana had never imagined there’d come a day when she’d have to add “-sama” when calling Violet’s name, and that realization brought its own small sense of unease.
Perhaps Violet found it amusing too. Just slightly, she lifted the corners of her mouth.
Then Violet turned her gaze back to Lux and spoke.
“What were you and Siana-sama planning to do from here, Rodwell-sama?”
“We were thinking of spending some time talking while having tea in the garden.”
“I see. In that case, may I brew the tea for you?”
“Eh!? Y-You did say earlier that you wanted to help with various things, but I can’t possibly have Violet-san, who serves Felisiana-sama, do something like that!”
“No. Supporting Rodwell-sama, who shares a close relationship with Ojou-sama, is only natural for me. I’m sure that if Felisiana-ojousama were present here, she’d give her permission for me to support you, Rodwell-sama.”
There’s no way I would! For the sake of my time alone with Lux-kun, hide yourself immediately!
That was what she wanted to say, but right now she was Siana, not the Third Princess Felisiana, so she couldn’t voice it.
“I see… I still feel bad about it, but since you’ve come all this way, it’d be rude to send you back. If that’s the case, then let’s spend the time together!”
“Thank you very much.”
And so, the three of them, Lux, Siana in her white maid outfit, and Violet in her black maid outfit, headed together to the garden of the Rodwell household.
This is the first time I’ve directly faced off with Violet over Lux-kun, but I absolutely won’t let things go the way Violet wants!
