Chapter 272: Mercy
“Master, and… Elina-sama, what are the two of you doing together on the bed?”
“S-Siana…!”
Just like last time, when she saw me lying on the bed with Florence-san, if this keeps up, I’ll end up making Siana angry again.
Thinking that, I immediately opened my mouth to clear up the misunderstanding.
“W-welcome back, Siana… just so you know, we’re—”
Just as I was about to say that.
The one who cut me off wasn’t Siana.
“Ah! Lux’s strength finally weakened!”
It was Elina-san’s voice, and as she said that, she closed the distance until our shoulders were almost touching.
Then she spoke in the same casual tone as always.
“Yeah, Lux’s face does look redder than usual, doesn’t it? Should we try taking off your clothes and checking your body too?”
“Eh!? Um, I’m really fine…”
“Elina-sama.”
“!?”
I suddenly heard a solemn voice from right nearby, and when I turned toward it.
Siana was standing there, having come right up in front of us before we even noticed.
…I didn’t sense her presence at all.
Maybe it’s because my attention was completely focused on Elina-san.
As I was thinking that, Elina-san turned toward Siana and spoke.
“Siana-chan! Welcome back! You’re already done with the shopping, huh!”
“Yes… I apologize for this right after returning, but could you please move away from my master?”
“Nope!”
“…”
Brushing aside Siana’s unusually dark-toned words, Elina-san continued.
“But wait! There’s a proper reason for this!”
“…A reason?”
“Yeah! Lux’s condition might be a little off, so I was just about to take off his clothes to check his health! That’s why it might be a bit too stimulating for you, Siana-chan, so shouldn’t you be the one to step outside the room…”
“If it’s necessary to check my master’s condition, then as his maid, I will do so.”
“I get that you’re worried about your master, but because you’re worried, wouldn’t it be better to leave it to me here? I do have medical knowledge, you know!”
“I also take pride in possessing a certain level of medical knowledge.”
“…Oh? Then which one of us…”
If I don’t stop the two of them before this turns into something seriously heated.
“B-both of you, please calm down a little!”
Thinking it’d be best to do it as quickly as possible, I forcefully stepped in and continued.
“It’s true that my face might’ve been red, but that wasn’t because I was feeling unwell, so there’s no need for anyone to take off my clothes in the first place.”
“Ehh! But…”
“I see, Master! I’m sorry for not fully understanding the situation and for my rudeness!”
To Siana, who apologized to me, I shook my head and said.
“No, I could really feel how worried you were about me, Siana, and I know that comes from kindness, so it’s fine.”
“Master…”
Siana murmured, looking somewhat pleased, then glanced at Elina-san and continued.
“I was out shopping and couldn’t keep Elina-san company until now, and I’ve also been rude due to a misunderstanding, so if you permit it, Master, may I invite Elina-san to my room and keep her company myself for a little while?”
This must be Siana’s way of showing sincerity and apologizing.
It might also be a good opportunity for the two of them, who argued a little, to get along again like before, and of course, there’s no reason for me to refuse.
“Of course. Thank you for being so considerate, Siana.”
“Yes! We’ll be right back after a short while!”
Then Siana turned toward Elina-san.
“With that said, Elina-sama, I’ll be keeping you company for a little while now.”
“…I’m not that bothered by it, but since Lux agreed, I guess I’ll spend some time chatting with you, Siana-chan!”
Elina-san stood up from the bed, waved at me, and started walking toward the door of my room together with Siana.
As the two of them left the room together.
Siana bowed her head to me, then left and slowly closed the door.
…I’m glad they seem like they’ll get along.
Feeling relieved, I decided to spend a relaxing time drinking the tea I’d made while waiting for the two of them to return.

Felisiana’s Side
“So, Siana-chan! What kind of things should we talk about together…”
Just as Elizalina, who’d been invited into Siana’s room, was about to say that.
Siana pressed a sword to Elizalina’s neck, her eyes hollow, and spoke in a flat, emotionless voice.
“My real older sister, Mercy. I’ll let you choose between dying right now or suffering before you die… Elizalina-anesama, which way would you like to die?”
