The next morning.
As usual, Elizalina entered the dining hall in the royal castle while imagining Lux.
There, Rezamiliana was already seated.
“Good morning, Rezamiliana-oneesama!”
“Ah, good morning.”
After exchanging their usual greetings, the two began eating breakfast together.
For a while after that, the only sounds in the dining hall were Elizalina’s usual cheerful remarks about how delicious the food was.
Then, suddenly, Elizalina looked at Rezamiliana.
“…Rezamiliana-oneesama, did something happen?”
At first glance, nothing seemed particularly different, but something about her felt off, so she asked.
Rezamiliana paused mid-bite, fell silent for a moment, then nodded.
“I tried not to let it show, but it seems you still noticed.”

As she said that, Rezamiliana trailed off, her cheeks faintly tinged red.
Seeing that, Elizalina could only think of one thing that could make that Rezamiliana blush just by recalling it.
So she spoke at once.
“Got it! This is about the person you like, right?”

Leaning forward eagerly, she pressed, and Rezamiliana, looking a little embarrassed, replied.
“…Actually, yesterday, I spent time with him while wearing a dress.”

“Yes… for me, wearing something with that much exposed skin felt a bit strange, but he told me I looked beautiful… I was remembering that.”

When other people say I’m pretty and when Lux says it, it’s totally different, you know! The way he looks straight at me and calls me beautiful, and on top of that, he works so hard, he’s kind, and he even exceeds my expectations… how could you not fall for a boy like that!?
Lux wasn’t actually in front of her, but just thinking about him made Elizalina fall for him even more.
Rezamiliana nodded at her words and said,
“…In the past, I might not have understood that feeling, but now I understand it well.”
“My, I never thought the day would come when I’d be talking about love like this with you, Rezamiliana-oneesama! And with both of us having someone we like, I never imagined it!”
“That’s true… also, you once said you proposed to the man you wish to be with.”
“Yeah!”
“…Actually, I also proposed to him yesterday.”
“What!? Seriously!? So what did he say!?”
“I haven’t received an answer yet.”
“No way…! There’s actually a guy who wouldn’t immediately accept a proposal from you, Rezamiliana-oneesama!?”
“Considering my position, that’s not unreasonable… he likely has many things he needs to think about as well.”
Well, yeah, it’s not like you’d fall for a guy who’d instantly accept just because of your looks or status… I mean…

If she seriously followed that line of thought, she would probably arrive at the answer.
