Chapter 377: Meeting for the Plan to Overthrow the King
Felisiana’s Side
“At last, this day has arrived.”
“Yes.”
At Violet’s words, Felisiana nodded.
This day referred to the day the five of them would hold discussions toward overthrowing the king.
“There’s no doubt that today’s meeting will greatly affect the future of this country… and above all, Lux-kun’s future.”
“Indeed.”
If things continued as they were, with the current king remaining in power, this country would become one that pursued only profit,
And more than anything, for Felisiana, as long as the current king remained on the throne, she would not be able to become engaged to Lux.
From those two perspectives alone, today was an extremely important day, however.
Felisiana continued,
“Before all that, there is one thing we must first make absolutely certain of, so we will confirm that today as well.”
“Understood, Ojou-sama.”
After the two of them finished confirming what they would do today, they boarded a carriage together and began heading toward the royal castle, where the meeting would take place.
If the answer to what needed to be confirmed turned out as Felisiana and the others expected, it would be both as anticipated and yet still shocking, a contradiction in itself.
But they had already prepared themselves for that.
All that remained now was simply to wait for that moment to come…
Elizalina’s Side
“Finally, this day has come.”
Muttering cheerfully to herself, Elizalina walked through the halls of the royal castle.
Until now, they had only been able to make preparations and hadn’t been able to take any major action,
But once today’s meeting determined their course of action, they could finally begin moving in earnest toward overthrowing the king.
Seriously, I’ve been working way too hard, haven’t I?
This meeting had been arranged because Elizalina personally invited Florence, Felisiana, Violet, and Rezamiliana.
Normally, it wasn’t a role one would willingly take on,
But… when I think about it being for my engagement with Lux, and so that Lux can continue living in this country without worry, there’s no such thing as too much effort, I’d do anything for Lux!!
As she walked along, her love for Lux swelling as usual, she soon arrived at the place where the five would meet,
The meeting room within the royal castle, and stepped inside.
There, she saw that Rezamiliana was already present.
“Ah! Rezamiliana-oneesama! You’re early, as expected.”
“If I, as your elder sister, were to arrive late, it would set a poor example… besides, given the nature of what we are to discuss, it’s better to steel ourselves in advance.”
“That’s true.”
After exchanging those light words, Elizalina took her seat just like Rezamiliana.
After waiting for a short while,
“Excuse me.”
They heard a voice from outside the door,
And as it opened, Florence entered the meeting room.
“I was worried you might get lost, but it looks like you found your way just fine!”
“Yes, someone was arranged to guide me… however, being in a meeting room within the royal castle does make me a bit nervous.”
“You don’t look it at all.”
As Rezamiliana said that with a slight smile, Florence took her seat without showing any visible sign of nervousness, contrary to her words.
Then, a little while later, the door opened again, and the final two arrived.
Felisiana and Violet entered.
“You’ve arrived.”
“It has been some time, Third Princess.”
“Alright then, Felisiana, take your seat as usual! There’s still a seat available, so Violet, you can sit too if you’d like. What will you do?”
“I appreciate your consideration, but I will remain standing behind Ojou-sama, so I will decline.”
“Figured as much.”
Just as she said,
When Felisiana took her seat, Violet stood behind her.
“Alright then!”
As the one who had arranged this gathering, Elizalina spoke up.
“We will now begin the meeting to overthrow the king and the royalist faction!”
